Brace yourselves Panthers, we will SPRING FORWARD this weekend! Daylight saving time begins on Sunday, March 9 at 2 a.m. local time.
We lose an hour in March, which gives us more daylight in the evenings. In the Northern Hemisphere, the vernal, or spring equinox, is on March 20th, marking the start of the spring season.
Spring sports practices have started and it will soon be a busy time for baseball, golf and track! Poms and Cheer will have tryouts soon. FFA contest season is right around the corner and Quiz Bowl continues their season and has a home game on March 11th. FCCLA, Key Club and FBLA will be attending their state conferences soon and Science Olympiad will have competitors who have qualified for state competition.
Open house and field trips are on the horizon. MS drama will perform The Rainbow Fish Musical on Saturday. Students are planning their schedules for next school year and it will be time for Prom, Field Day, Panther Day and Graduation before we know it!
These are just a few of the wonderful things happening in the district, follow along and we will share with you why it is always a great day to be a Palmyra Panther!

Congrats to Delania, Audrey and Wesley for being named All-Area Honorable Mentions on the Tri-State Cross Country Coaches All-Area Team!

Our Palmyra Middle School Drama Department will hit the stage Saturday, March 8th at 7 pm to perform Rainbow Fish the Musical in the Middle School gym.
Under the direction of Mrs. Fountain and Mr. Seago, Rainbow Fish the Musical tells the story of a brightly colored fish, the Rainbow Fish, who is admired by all the other sea creatures due to her dazzling, multi-colored scales, but becomes isolated when she refuses to share them, ultimately learning from a wise Octopus that true friendship and happiness come from kindness and sharing, rather than just outward beauty. It is based on the popular children's book by Marcus Pfister.
The cast includes 8th graders Aubree D and Allyson K; 7th graders Callie H, Brielle S, and Addilynn K; 6th graders Gavin C, Kellin S, and Simone R; 5th graders Elsie R, Avery C, Emmalynn J, Brinleigh C, Tyne L, Kallee B, Allie C, and Molly H.
