MS track opened their season at Montgomery County on Friday. The athletes had to battle strong winds but they finished well. MS girls finished 1st as a team and boys 4th! Way to go Panthers, Coach Fountain & Coach Harper!

PHS competed at District Solo & Ensemble contests today in Kirksville. Ashton received an Outstanding rating, Matthew received a Satisfactory rating, and Laura received an Exemplary rating and will be competing at the State music contest on May 1st! Congratulations to all of our high school musicians!👏👏👏







Construction season is in full force at PHS! The public restrooms and boys basketball locker room are no longer! The boiler will be gone soon. Exciting to see things happening so quickly!




PES is holding their annual 4th grade basketball tourney today! Each 4th grade class has a team banner and unique team name. Action continues throughout the day today! Good luck Panthers!











First Grade Open House was out of this world! 🌎









What a great day at PES! The Science Fair was held today, showcasing the 53 1st-4th grade students that participated! It was a busy morning, full of experimentation and learning.
Ribbons earned by participants will be presented during the school’s Awards Day in May. A Science Expert for each grade level will also be awarded at that time. Ms. Knoche and Mrs. Gard thank all of those who helped make the Science Fair a success, especially the judges: Kaitlynn McElvain, Ken Zielinski, and Jabin Johnson from BASF.
PES will be open tomorrow during the basketball tournament for public viewing of the Science Fair projects in the cafeteria.

High School track at Bowling Green has been canceled.
Due to wet field conditions at Flower City Park, tonight's baseball game will be played at the Veterans Elementary Sports Complex in Hannibal.
The sun will come out tomorrow Panthers (hopefully!)

Palmyra Elementary had a great morning celebration with CJ Luckey! Our Panthers have been starting their day in the gym with his Good Morning song during the morning assembly on Tuesday and Thursday's and it was so much fun to sing it with him in person today! Ask your student what songs and lessons they learned today with CJ!









Yesterday was a beautiful spring day and a successful day for our HS athletes! Golf had a strong day at Centralia winning the match with Jonas as medalist, with Skeeter and Gavin as the runner-ups!
Baseball picked up a big win against Elsberry, 10-0.
High School track has their first meet tomorrow at Bowling Green and Middle School heads to Montgomery County on Friday for their first meet.

PHS Golf travels to Centralia today for their season opener at the Centralia Community Golf Course. Looks like it will be a beautiful day to hit the links! The team finished strong last year and we look forward to seeing how far they can go this year! Good luck Panthers!


Palmyra R-1 School District announces the hiring of Justin Hutchings as High School PE and Head Varsity Football Coach for the 2025-2026 school year. Help us welcome Coach Hutchings and his family to Palmyra!



PES Science Fair begins on Thursday! We have a large number of young scientists ready to show off their knowledge to the judges and their projects to the public on Friday. The school will be open for viewing projects during the 4th grade basketball tournament.


Thank you to The Miss Hannibal Organization and our local Miss Hannibal Teen - Queen Avery, for visiting our 4th graders and reading and doing an activity with them!






PHS Cheer tryouts are on the way! If you are interested in joining the cheer squad for the 2025-2026 school year, read over this info and ask Mrs. Powell or Mrs. Billups if you have any questions!



Palmyra FFA will be hosting an area practice contest tomorrow at the high school. They have invited teams from around Northeast MO to compete in 11 CDE's! Good luck to all competitors!
